DO YOU WORK EXCLUSIVELY WITH UNMEDICATED BIRTHS?
No! I will be your doula whether you have an unmedicated home birth, epidural, VBAC, Cesarean, and everything in between! You get to choose the way you have your baby. I will be there to help and support no matter how that looks.
DOES HAVING A DOULA NEGATIVELY AFFECT MY PARTNERS ROLE IN THE BIRTHING EXPERIENCE?
Having a doula brings confidence and ease to the birthing partner! We do not take the place or get in the way of anyone you've brought to be with you. Doulas are great at guiding partners through how to support in the best way possible!
WHAT ARE YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH MEDICAL STAFF LIKE?
It is my job to make sure you have the birthing experience you want, however it is not my job to pick fights with the medical staff. We are all on the same side! I will always have open communication with them, and I will always let them know your needs. I am here for YOU!
DO YOU PERFORM ANY PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS?
No. I do not take the place of a care provider. You will still see your doctor or midwife for all medical advice and physical examinations.
